Paint Correction is all about polishing the car to remove surface defects within the finish. These are generally swirl marks, oxidisaton and deeper scratches which build up over time leaving a dull finish and reflect sunlight in an uneven way. |

The finish can be restored with a machine polish utilizing different graded pads, polishes and compounds. The process is time consuming and takes a great skill to get it right. Unfortunately it is not the simple “Cut & Polish” many make it out to be. This does involve a machine polish in the same way most can use a BBQ, it’s the end result that ultimately counts. A result that’s either a disappointing under done snag or a beautiful rack of lamb. Once complete your vehicles paint is typically better than when it was new, something that can only add value. |

We start the service with a consultation to assess the vehicle and its condition. We take readings with a Paint Depth Gauge to ascertain the amount of work that can be applied over the vehicles paintwork. This allows us to see into the cars history and discover hidden paintwork problems such as repairs & resprays. Once complete we will mask off and area of paintwork to complete a test polish to a finished standard for the customers inspection before any further work commences. |

So all paint is the same right? Wrong! The different manufacturers use a variety of processes and paint systems that varies widely between models and colours, not to mention older paint jobs. Experience is key and multiple stages of correction are required to perfect the vehicles finish to the highest standard. |

The Auto Glamour Paint Correction Service is started with a complete vehicle foam &wash before moving on to paintwork decontamination. This involves removing bonded contaminates from the surface that normal washing leaves behind. These include Brake Dust & Iron Particles, Tar & Road Grime as well as Overspray and other industrial fallout. This leaves the surface smooth ready for the machine polish.

A machine polish is the only way to effectively correct the finish of your cars paint. The process requires a depth of skill and knowledge to combine different Polishes, Compounds and Pads to work with the paint to remove defects. The key word is “Remove”, our methods are a permanent solution and not a nice effect that wears off after a couple of washes. Once complete the car is re-cleaned and the surface prepared to accept a Wax, Sealant or Coating or a combination. The choice is yours. We take your through the benefits of each last step product to help you with the decision. The rest of the car is then detailed including trim, rubbers, glass and wheels to maximise the vehicles restoration before we hand back the keys.
